Orokaraka - Schischka Family Home

Description

Excavation around the old Schischka family bach. Opposite Wenderholm Regional Park and at the Puhoi River mouth. The land, Orokaraka, was bought by the former Auckland Regional Authority in 1965.

The bach was built around 1920 but earlier prehistoric evidence also uncovered.
