What:

Two water powered mills and a later steam powered tannery existed at the site. The site is on the lower tidal reach of Oakley Creek.Remains to be seen there include a boiler, foundations and the side of the wheel pit. The first mill burned down.

The site is in the midst of an elevated motorway junction. Despite that is is quite accessible. The site was investigated and interpreted as part of a motorway project.
