Tauwhare Museum was one of the local museums featured on Heritage Rescue - a TV series on Choice TV.
The museum collection is mostly relatively recent material but included are some oldeer material, some for archaeological finds. One feature are parts of WW2 aircraft recovered from the Ruakura aircraft dump.
