A Museum and Art Gallery for East Cape / Poverty Bay. Currently a lot of the museum is closed but the new displays scheduled to opern in 2009 are promised to have lots of archaeological content.

In the mean time there is still the wheelhouse salvaged from the Star of Canada wreck of 1912 - a great peice of maritme history.
