Puke Ariki
Museum of Taranaki 1 Ariki Street New Plymouth
A fine regional museum in a striking new building. Its collections have a particular strength in Maori wood carving, much of it recovered from swamps.
Archaeologists with an association with the museum include Ken Gorbey and Nigel Prickett.
