Hinge Bay is the site of a sawmill built by the Manukau Timber Company. It operated from 1891 to 1895. There was an associated wharf and managers house. The latter still survivies. The mill was built on the waters edge and the surviving remains include the concrete pile foundations and a steam engine foundation.

Hinge Bay

Hinge Bay is the site of a sawmill built by the Manukau Timber Company. It operated from 1891 to 1895. There was an associated wharf and managers house. The latter still survivies.
